with Joie Taylor After graduating from Cornell University, Joie traveled to Pune, India to meditate and study hypnotherapy at the OSHO Multiversity. Joie has been educated in basic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and is certified by the American Board of Hypnotherapy. She combines the traditional western approach of exploring the power of the subconscious for change with the eastern wisdom of using hypnosis to arrive toward the original consciousness of being. In Pune, she co-facilitated a course entitled "De-hypnosis for Meditation," and has seen many clients for a variety of emotional, physical, behavioral, and psychological solutions since. Joie has been an avid follower of Osho since 1998 and facilitated active meditations while at the meditation resort in Pune. She brings the quality of meditation to all her sessions. Joie’s hypnosis practice includes smoking cessation, weight loss, body-mind balancing, guided meditations, past and past-life regression, phobias, and more. She is also a professional musician, dancer, and yoga teacher. She is happy to share how meditation and hypnotherapy have enhanced the creativity, balance, and joy in her own life. Reiki Therapy with Shawne Taylor Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a gentle, hands-on healing art developed in the early 1900s by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan. It is an art that is passed from Master to student, and is designed to bring Universal, healing energy into the body for deep relaxation and a sense of well-being. Reiki can be useful in treating a variety of issues -- whether physical, mental or emotional -- or can simply be a way to relax and de-stress. The term Reiki comes from two words -- “Rei” and “Ki,” meaning Universal Life Force Energy.
Shawne is an Usui Shiki Royho Level 1I Reiki Practictioner, attuned and certified in a lineage that can be traced directly back to Mikao Usui. She is also a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP).
Shawne is available to see clients on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Decatur Healing Arts. Rates are: $75 for a one-hour session; $85 for a one-hour session followed by 30 minutes of guided meditation. Each session includes hands-on work as well as consultation before and after treatment. |
